A multifaceted executive with over 20 years of financial services experience, Ronald’s passion for leadership in the financial services industry began by learning the ropes of Investment Management at Goldman Sachs & Co. after graduating from Morehouse College with a degree in Physics and Mathematics. After completing his analyst period Goldman Sachs, Ronald left New York City in the summer of 2002 to begin law school at the University of Michigan Law School where he was an Alden J Butch Carpenter Scholar and an avid supporter and leader in Michigan BLSA during the Grutter v Bollinger SCOTUS case on affirmative action.

Following law school, Ronald began learning deal sheets, complex cross border transactions, and M&A transactions as an attorney at Skadden & Arps in Washington, DC. Subsequently to Skadden Arps, Ronald would move to Singapore to continue executing deals across Southeastern Asia as an India Capital Markets attorney for Latham & Watkins (Singapore). Ronald would go to leave Latham in 2009 to serve as the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for 3 Degrees Asset Management where he’d lead the monetization of over $300mm in assets from the firm’s flagship fund. Ronald would return from Singapore to move to Los Angeles in 2014, initially assuming the role of Chief Legal Officer and but ultimately becoming the Chief Operating Officer of Post Advisory Group, an $18.5bn Los Angeles based asset management firm. While leading Post Advisory, Ronald expanded their product offering, technological platform and increased its AUM.

In 2021, Ronald went full steam into venture capital, political strategy and mentoring the next generation of leaders with a concerted focus on underrepresented minorities, FinTech, Frontier Tech, Cannabis, and Consumer Goods, building and angel investment portfolio of over 25 companies while also engaging in strategic advisory roles for Christopher Jones 2022 Democratic Campaign to be governor of Arkansas, the launch of Rocana Venture’s RVPIII Fund and the strategic advisory of startup founders like JéGO Technologies’ Frederick Akpoghene and Crowns & Hops’ Beny Ashburn.

In May 2022, Ronald accepted a role as the Assistant General Counsel of Fireblocks Inc, a non-custodial software provider that specializes in custody and payment solutions for businesses. In his capacity as the Assistant General Counsel, Ronald manages the firms M&A, regulatory, product, strategic partnerships, investments in strategic partners and the global regulatory licensing strategy for the firm.
