Ms. Tonya Bastien-Glanais

Ms. Tonya Bastien-Glanais is an esteemed legal educator and the Principal of the Eugene Dupuch Law School in The Bahamas, a position she has held since August 2008. Her academic journey in law began at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, Barbados, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree (Hons.) in 1983. She furthered her legal education at the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica, where she was awarded the Legal Education Certificate. Upon the establishment of the Eugene Dupuch Law School in 1998, Ms. Bastien-Glanais joined as a tutor, contributing significantly to the institution’s development and academic programs. Her expertise in legal ethics is reflected in her role as Course Director for Ethics, Rights & Obligations of the Legal Profession.  

As Principal, Ms. Bastien-Glanais has been instrumental in fostering a supportive learning environment that prepares students to become competent and ethical legal professionals.
