Prof. Lloyd Waller

Lloyd G. Waller is a Professor of Digital Transformation Policy and Governance at the University of the West Indies (Mona). He also serves as the Senior Advisor to the Minister of Tourism for Jamaica as well as the Executive Director of the Global Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management Centre, a global policy and advocacy think tank headquartered in Jamaica with additional offices in Africa, the Middle East, Canada, and Europe. Professor Waller holds advanced degrees in Sociology of Development (with a focus on e-commerce), Digital Transformation, Data Analytics in Leadership, and a Ph.D. in Social Policy specializing in Electronic Tourism. With over twenty years of experience and expertise spanning Digital Transformation Policies, Governance and Development, Electronic Governance, Tourism Resilience, Data Analytics, and Advanced Research Methods, Professor Waller has established himself as a leading authority in his field. He has authored over 100 publications and actively engages where academia, policy, and practice intersect to address pressing challenges in the Caribbean region and identify potential opportunities
