Melinda Tijerino is Director of AI Risk Management at Moody’s Analytics, where she leads AI governance for the firm’s fintech and product development division. Her work spans engineering, legal, cybersecurity, and enterprise risk, helping cross-functional teams navigate the evolving AI landscape with clarity and confidence.

With over a decade of experience consulting for global firms on data privacy and regulatory readiness, Melinda brings a strategic, systems-level view to emerging tech risk. Most recently, she completed an executive programme at the University of Oxford focused on AI ethics, regulation, and compliance.Melinda is passionate about turning complexity into clarity, building frameworks where none exist, connecting dots others may miss, and enabling innovation that’s both bold and responsible. Outside of work, Melinda is an avid backgammon player (first learned in Beirut) and a fan of long hikes in far-off places, especially when they offer a break from Wi-Fi… and just enough space to think about what comes next in AI.
