Dr. Michael Lingzhi Li is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Harvard (HBS TOM Unit) and the Chief Data Scientist at Waffle Labs. He graduated with a PhD in Operations Research from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a background in Mathematics from University of Cambridge.

His goal is to create demonstrable, robust societal impact combining optimization, machine learning, and causal inference. His primary research focus area is healthcare, though many of the algorithm developments also find applications in insurance and the supply chain.
