Professor C. Justin Robinson is an accomplished academic and leader within The University of the West Indies (The UWI). His multifaceted career spans teaching, research, university administration, and public service. Professor Robinson’s association with The UWI began in 1997 when he joined the Cave Hill Campus as a Lecturer in the Department of Management Studies. Over the years, he has held several pivotal roles, including serving as the Head of Management Studies and the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences. His expertise extends to financial management, and he has played a crucial role in developing various undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Notably, he led the creation of the BSc and MSc Banking and Finance programs and the BSc Management with concentrations in areas such as Entrepreneurship, Finance, Human Resource Management, International Business, and Marketing.
In 2021, Professor Robinson assumed the position of Pro Vice-Chancellor for the Board for Undergraduate Studies (BUS). His responsibilities include overseeing the Office of the Board for Undergraduate Studies (OBUS), which focuses on policy, quality, and regionality in undergraduate and sub-degree programming across The UWI and its global affiliates. He ensures the implementation of academic quality assurance systems and upholds The UWI’s regional mandate in undergraduate education. His three-year term commenced on August 1, 2021.
