Sandeep Bapna serves as the Vice President of International at Khan Academy, where he is responsible for accelerating the organization’s reach and impact globally. Since joining in 2015, Khan Academy has expanded its presence in countries such as India, Brazil, Peru, the Philippines, Vietnam and Pakistan. He has led key initiatives including the KhanX model, which partners with local philanthropists and governments to enhance educational delivery worldwide, and the introduction of AI in public schools, with major implementations in Brazil and India. Prior to Khan Academy, Sandeep spent over 12 years at IFC, part of the World Bank Group, investing in companies across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Europe. He later founded an edtech startup that created communities for online learners.
